The Sonoran Institute supports Questions 1 and 2, the Regional Transportation Plan and Revenue Source.

The Sonoran Institute promotes community decisions that respect that land and people of the West. Our work creates lasting benefits including healthy landscapes, vibrant economies, and livable communities that embrace conservation as an integral element of local economies and quality of life. These are achieved through civil dialogue, broad-based partnerships and cross-boundary cooperation.

The Regional Transportation Plan, created by a dedicated and diverse group of citizens, offers a balanced approach for enhancing our quality of life. It provides for cross-town mobility, reduced travel congestion, improved safety, a much-expanded public transit system, improved bicycle and pedestrian options, and expanded transportation services for the elderly and disabled. It also improves facilities for safe passage of our native wildlife under and over our road system. This is truly revolutionary in a regional transportation plan designed to improve mobility and reduce congestion and air pollution.

The plan shows that given the opportunity to work together, people can achieve multi-faceted goals that improve local quality of life. Question 1 and 2 deserve your support.
