And hundreds of people just like you, all supporting Yes!! for Regional Transportation.

We strongly urge everyone in Pima County to vote yes for Question 1, the Regional Transportation Plan, because we must join together now to fix the problems we all face today, just trying to get around in our community.

This Plan is truly regional and it was created for the whole community by local citizens in an open process with public input at every stage.

A very diverse group of individuals, just like you, worked together as volunteers to make this happen. Representing every walk of life in our community, they carefully studied all the alternatives and patiently listened to the ideas of still more citizens as they formed the plan.

And citizens just like you will continue to have a say, not only in how the projects are designed, but as an oversight committee, making sure what’s promised is what’s done.

The Plan outlines projects across our community that are in addition to – not in place of –ongoing maintenance and road improvements by local and state governments. It’s a roadmap to fixing the problems we all deal with today.

For first time in our history, EVERY jurisdiction in this region unanimously accepted this plan, including the county, five cities and towns, and Native American tribe and nation.

Together we can improve the traffic snarls plaguing our neighborhoods; give our elderly citizens and those with disabilities safer, more convenient transportation options; expand our regional public transit, and preserve pathways through our beautiful desert environment.

Passing the Transportation Plan will mean a cleaner, healthier place to live. In the long run, it will save the average family money, and will create new jobs for our whole community.

Vote yes on Questions 1 and 2. They must be passed together. Let’s take action today to control our own future at last.
